Origin
This model was not designed in a workshop. It was discovered in practice — during a working session to finalize the M. Ferdinand business card.
One side was reviewed and locked. The other debated, refined, and eventually resolved. At each decision point, clarity — not consensus — determined when to move forward.
What emerged was a repeatable way of working that is now the operating standard for all Defina Grouppe build sessions.
The Core Distinction
Consensus
Everyone agrees before moving forward.
Slow. Prone to compromise that weakens the output.
Often driven by avoiding conflict rather than improving the work.
Clarity
The work itself makes the right answer visible.
Fast once reached. Requires honest review.
Driven entirely by what serves the outcome, not who suggested it.
"The objective was never: Ebo must win. Or: the tool must win.
The objective was: the work must win."

How We Work
The Six-Step Model
Put a version in front of both parties. Not a final answer — a starting position.
Look at it honestly. Against the objective, not against personal preference.
Bring alternatives. Challenge assumptions. Test different directions. No ego in this phase.
When clarity appears, the decision is made. Not when everyone is comfortable — when the work speaks.
Decision made is decision closed. No reopening. No relitigating. Energy moves forward only.
Take the momentum from the locked decision into the next unresolved area. Build continuously.
Foundation
Culture and Model
Defina Culture
Why we do it
Refine. Refinement for Life. The underlying value system that never changes regardless of project, team, or format. It tells everyone what is valued here.
Defina Working Model
How we do it
The practical expression of the culture in a build session. It tells everyone how to behave — what to do when two perspectives meet, and how to reach a decision that serves the work.
In Practice
What People Notice
Keep what works. Fix what can improve. Remove what does not serve the outcome.
KFR — Defina Execution Engine, aligned to this model
Lock the decision. Move forward.
